Around colors

¡Hola a todos los que cada semana me leéis! Cada vez somos más y eso me entusiasma mucho.

Hoy como veis el post se llena de color, solo por el fuerte color amarillo que impregna esta camisa. Y si en algo se caracteriza la primavera es en el color que desprende. En el color que desprenden sus días, en las agradables temperaturas y en las ganas de sentir los rayos de sol en nuestra cara. Y por supuesto, y como dije en un post anterior, la primavera va unida al color, todas las marcas se llenan de prendas con colores vivos.

Hoy quiero hablaros de una tendencia que tenemos muy presente, las mangas abullonadas, mangas que vienen con volúmenes al más puro estilo de los años 80. Como su nombre indica son un tipo de manga cuya forma es redondeada simulando un globo. Suelen tener esta anchura tanto en la parte baja de los brazos o muñecas, como en los hombros y un poco más abajo de este, dándole mucho volumen. También en el siglo XIX, en pleno apogeo de las mangas abullonadas de aire romántico, ni los más visionarios podrían suponer que este tipo de camisas resurgiría con fuerza muchos años más tarde.

Today I want to tell you about a trend that we now have very present, the puffed sleeves, sleeves with volumes in the style of the 80s. As its name indicates are a type of sleeve with rounded shape simulating a balloon. They usually have this width both in the lower arms or wrists, as in the shoulders and a little lower, giving a lot of volume. Also in the nineteenth century, in the midst of the romantic puffed sleeves, not even the most visionary could assume that this type of shirt would reemerge strongly many years later.

Estas mangas se describen también como mangas globo. Incluso fueron llamadas mangas de bucanero, pues los corsarios también siguieron los dictados de la moda de la época. Un nombre menos elegante es la palabra de origen francés "gigot" o pierna de cordero, también conocida en España como "manga jamón".

Sea como fuera, las pasarelas se han llenado de camisas con mangas abullonadas en estilos muy diferentes y renovados.

Hay que tener en cuenta que las mangas anchas proporcionan volumen, así que trata de equilibrar la camisa con lo que te pongas en la parte de abajo, para no crear en tu cuerpo un efecto globo, como bien se llama la prenda. Yo opté por unos pantalones cortos muy acentuados a la cintura, para que el volumen quedara sobre todo en la parte de arriba.

These sleeves are also described as balloon sleeves. They were even called buccaneer sleeves, as the corsairs also followed the dictates of the fashion of the time. A less elegant name is the word of French origin gigot or leg of lamb, also known in Spain as "mango ham".

Be that as it may, the catwalks have been filled with shirts with puffed sleeves in very different and renewed styles.

Keep in mind that the wide sleeves provide volume, so try to balance the shirt with what you put on the bottom, not to create in your body a balloon effect, as it is called the garment. I opted for a very sharp shorts at the waist, so that the volume was mostly on the top.
